The landscape changes dramatically, taking you from planes to the belly of the mountain through wide and narrow roads that are surrounded by yellow and brown hills.<\/p>\n

Ranakpur ka Ghata<\/em> (the Valley of Ranakpur) begins from the Rupad Mata ka Mandir<\/em> and is picturesque in the true sense. Rocky hills, huge trees, little streams, mischievous Langoors<\/em> (monkeys) on the way, and the S-shaped roads all along make for a wonderful trip. Nature comes in abundance here, only it is in shades of brown, yellow and red instead of green. Ninety kilometers from Udaipur<\/a><\/strong>, one reaches the world-renowned Ranakpur Jain Temple<\/a><\/strong>, the biggest attraction this region is known for. This Jain Teerth<\/em> or shrine is one of the most important pilgrimages amongst five Jains in India. Owing to its significant history and beauty, it is extremely popular and buses full of pilgrims and tourists arrive at the temple daily.<\/p>\n
