Rajasthan\u2019s Shekhawati is one such region. The region is rich in traditional arts, crafts and architecture. Numerous small fortresses, havelis, baolis (stepwells) and mosques dot the barren Shekhawati landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Ideally, the traveller should ride a horse or a camel to traverse the region and witness its well-preserved wall painted Havelis in their full glory. Aath haveli, Murarka Haveli, Khedwal Bhawan, Bhagton ki Haveli and Anandi Lal Poddar Haveli are the prime attractions of the town, with their mesmerizing frescoes and mural paintings. The Diwan Khana in the fort is replete with portraits and period furniture. There is a small library as well. The fort, like many other forts and havelis in the region, has been converted into a hotel. The place is home to many beautiful havelis and other historic structures like Modi Haveli, Kaniram Narsingh Das Tiberwala Haveli, Mohan Das Ishwar Das Modi Haveli and Narudin Farooqi Haveli. Badani Chand Well, Mertani Baori, Ajit Sagar, Dargah of Kamrud-din Shah, Badal Fort, Khetri Mahal, Bihariji Temple, Rani Sati Temple and Forest Ganj are other major tourist attractions of Jhunjhunu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Harsh terrains \u00a0are often inhabited by brave people.
