Destination for Jain Wedding

Ranakpur village, in Rajasthan’s Pali district, is a popular destination for tourists. Its scenic beauty and relevance to the Jain community have also turned it into an important wedding destination. Its proximity to both Jodhpur and Udaipur and its strategic location in a valley makes it a popular wedding destination.

Ranakpur is also popularly known as a “temple town” for its many Jain temples. The main temple is a quick drive from the village and is located amid a forest. Ranakpur’s marble Jain temple is one of India’s most beautiful pilgrim places. The temple spans across a 48,000 sq. feet area. It has four faces, representing Tirthankara’s reign over the four directions, and is dedicated to Jainism’s founder, Adinatha.

There are a variety of excursion spots around Ranakpur, for guests who want to explore the region. These include:

Muchhal Mahavir Temple

Located in Rajasthan’s Pali district, this Jain temple is dedicated to Lord Mahavir. It is about 40 kms from Ranakpur and lies on the route from Falna to Kumbhalgarh.

Jirawala Village

Around 40 kms from Ranakpur is the Kumbhalgarh Fort, a Mewar fortress in Rajasthan. This World Heritage Site was built in the 15th century by Rana Kumbha, who is also responsible for the construction of the Ranakpur temple.

Ranakpur’s fame as a round-the-year tourist destination is due to its famous Jain Temple and the sightseeing options nearby. Many fairs and festivals are also held in the village.

You can get to Ranakpur via rail from the Falna Railway station, or by road from Udaipur.

The temple town’s scenic beauty has led to the emergence of many high class hotel facilities, but the finest among them is Mana Hotel.

Mana hotel is located near the Ranakpur Jain Temple. It serves as an effective wedding destination, with 40 rooms and 9 luxurious villas for family members and guests to choose from. A fully equipped spa and bar provide relaxation opportunities at an unmatched price. It also offers great amenities like an outdoor pool, wireless internet, a game room and even babysitting options.

Its proximity to Udaipur also makes Mana an ideal hotel for a quick stopover before you visit what is known as the ‘Venice of the East” (with romantic destinations like the Pichola Lake, Udai Sagar, Fateh Sagar and Swaroop Sagar in the offering, there could not be a better title for Udaipur).
